Timing of Administration

Silvitra should be taken on an empty stomach 30 minutes to 1 hour before sexual activity.

After the first dose, the next dose should be taken after at least 24 hours.

Recommended Dosage

Each tablet of Silvitra contains 100mg of sildenafil/20mg of vardenafil as active ingredients.

The maximum dosage of vardenafil per sexual activity is 20mg.

The maximum dosage of sildenafil per sexual activity is 50mg.

※Half a tablet provides sufficient effect. Please use a pill cutter to split the tablet when dividing.

Suggested Starting Dose

First-time users of sildenafil-containing medications are advised to start with 25mg.

First-time users of vardenafil-containing medications are advised to start with 10mg.

Food Interactions

It is recommended to remain fasting for 2 hours before administration.

Silvitra needs to be absorbed by the intestines to enter the bloodstream.

Food in the stomach may cause the tablet to be absorbed by the stomach before reaching the intestines.

High-fat meals can coat the intestinal walls with oil, reducing absorption efficiency.

Poor absorption may lead to lack of efficacy or insufficient effects. Always take on an empty stomach.

Normal eating can resume after the medication has been absorbed.

Alcohol Interactions

Alcohol can be consumed concurrently, but vasodilation effects may accelerate intoxication. Avoid excessive drinking.

Contraindications

・Individuals with cardiovascular diseases (heart/blood vessel disorders) who are not suitable for sexual activity

・Patients with severe hepatic impairment

・Patients with hypotension or untreated hypertension

・Those who have experienced cerebral infarction/cerebral hemorrhage/myocardial infarction within the past 6 months

・Individuals with a history of allergy to sildenafil or vardenafil

The main side effects include: lowered blood pressure due to vasodilation, eye congestion, facial flushing, skin redness, palpitations, and nasal congestion.

These symptoms are believed to be caused by vasodilation and tend to alleviate when sexual arousal strongly diverts blood flow to the penis.

Additionally, side effects are usually temporary and gradually diminish over time.

If intolerable or severe side effects occur, over-the-counter headache or rhinitis medications can be taken, or restful lying down may help alleviate symptoms.

Special Symptoms

Special visual abnormalities (retinal pigmentary changes) may occur, manifesting as blue-tinted vision or difficulty distinguishing between blue and green hues.

Most cases are temporary and not concerning; however, a sudden sharp decline in vision may indicate a risk of Non-Arteritic Anterior Ischemic Optic Neuropathy (NAION).

If sudden vision loss or deterioration occurs, consult an ophthalmologist immediately.

If an erection lasts longer than 4 hours accompanied by pain, priapism (persistent erection) may develop.

If an erection persists for more than 4 hours, seek immediate medical attention.

※What is Non-Arteritic Anterior Ischemic Optic Neuropathy (NAION)?
This condition refers to dysfunction or necrosis of optic nerve cells due to interrupted blood supply to the optic nerve.
Although the causal relationship remains unclear, studies suggest a weak association with the use of ED medications.

※What is priapism (persistent erection)?
Also known as prolonged erection, this condition involves the inability of the penis to return to a flaccid state or extreme difficulty in doing so.
It is also called penile rigidity.
The primary cause is dysfunction of the arterial system within the corpora cavernosa of the penis.
If an erection persists for more than 4 hours without subsiding, seek immediate professional medical treatment.

Contraindications

Contraindicated drugs are those that interact with Silvitra (Sildenafil) and must not be taken concomitantly.

・Nitrates and NO donors
(Nitroglycerin, Amyl Nitrite, Isosorbide Mononitrate)
Combined use may enhance hypotensive effects.

・Amiodarone Hydrochloride
(Cordarone Tablets)
Concomitant use may exacerbate QT prolongation caused by amiodarone.

・CYP3A4 inhibitors
(Antifungals, Anti-HIV drugs, Telithromycin, Nefazodone, Ketoconazole, Itraconazole, Ritonavir, Saquinavir, Nelfinavir, Atazanavir, etc.)
May increase plasma concentration and prolong half-life of this product.

・Nirmatrelvir/Ritonavir (Paxlovid)

・Enstverir (Zocoba)

Drugs Requiring Caution

These are medications requiring special attention when used with Silvitra.

・Grapefruit (including juice)
Contains furanocoumarins that inhibit metabolic enzyme activity, slowing drug breakdown.
May cause excessive absorption of drug components, enhancing efficacy or side effects.

・CYP3A4 inhibitors/inducers
Ritonavir, Saquinavir, Darunavir

・Antihypertensive drugs
As Silvitra itself has hypotensive effects, concomitant use may cause temporary dizziness, unsteadiness, or other hypotensive symptoms.

・Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight

・Keep out of reach of children

・Do not transfer to other containers to prevent accidental ingestion or product deterioration

・For single-dose packages with remaining medication, store airtight and consume within 2 days

・Do not use products beyond the expiration date printed on the package
